Do you have a focal point that your life revolves around?

Was it an interest or hobby that led to what you do every day … maybe your job?

As an artist, we talk about a focal point in our painting to direct the viewer’s eye to the area of interest.

Here is focal point defined by Dictionary.com:

“noun. Also called principal focus. … the point at which all elements or aspects converge; center of activity or attention: The focal point of our discussion was the need for action.”

Relate this to how you live your life. What drove you to the job you have? Are you truly interested in what you do every day?

Have you ever done art as a hobby or been interest?

I am a professional artist creating landscapes in oil, pastel, or acrylic. I was also the manager of a law firm at one time. Why one time? I left to follow my interest.

My paintings tell a story most of the time. There is one theory that all paintings need a focal point.
